Engineering Shift Manager – Co Tyrone
We’re hiring on behalf of a leader in the food manufacturing industry, for a hands-on Engineering Shift Manager to join their team at the site in Co Tyrone.
In this role, you’ll take charge of a skilled maintenance team, driving performance, reducing downtime, and ensuring compliance and safety across all site services and process areas.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of engineers and apprentices
- Oversee maintenance schedules using SAP and ensure timely job completion
- Monitor budgets, manage spare parts, and ensure contractor value
- Identify root causes of downtime and implement solutions
- Ensure all safety, compliance, and environmental standards are met
- Play a key role in training, development, and succession planning
You’ll need:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Proven team leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Strong focus on safety and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Computer literacy, including SAP (desirable)
- Experience in food processing or FMCG is a strong advantage
Shift pattern: Includes 1 in 4 weekend cover
