We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager role with Ireland’s leading pork processor. This is a key leadership position based at their largest site in Co. Offaly, and it’s a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing and wants to shape the future of engineering excellence.
About the Role:
This is a leadership role that will put you at the heart of a highly automated, well-invested food production facility. You’ll be responsible for leading the mechanical and electrical teams, driving preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, managing engineering projects, and ensuring plant performance, reliability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading and developing the site’s maintenance and engineering teams.
- Managing preventive maintenance, plant uptime, utilities, WWTP, and capital projects.
- Driving lean maintenance systems and continuous improvement culture.
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, quality, and environmental standards.
- Managing maintenance budgets, KPIs, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborating with contractors and internal teams on installations and upgrades.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified engineer or experienced tradesperson (mechanical/electrical).
- Strong track record leading maintenance teams in a regulated industry—ideally food or pharma.
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical experience (refrigeration, conveyors, utilities, etc.).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPM, and maintenance systems.
