Financial Accountant
Our client is an innovative company who support the Life Sciences industry by leveraging technology and communications to help them grow their teams & business are sourcing for a Financial Accountant to join their team in Belfast.
It is rare that a role within this department comes to the market. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will ideally suit a results-focussed accountant who will be operating as a number 2 to the FC and will have the platform to develop their career long-term into a leadership role.
You will be tasked with supporting with delivering monthly management accounts to group – including financial reporting & statutory accounts as well as working with the commercial team to ensure project delivery on cost.
Responsibilities will include
- Production of the monthly management accounts
- Preparation of month-end journals to support the accounting close
- Provide financial reporting to NI financial controller as required
- Oversee and process purchasing requests for internal approval and issue as PO’s
- Assist with the provision of budgets and forecasts
- Review monthly vendor payments & company group transactions
- Oversee cost minimisation / reduction, liaise with Group and Group purchasing team as required.
- Ensure projects delivered per contract, agreed commercials from which invoiced
- Review of costs for both ongoing services and new project services
- Involvement in Ad Hoc Project work as required

- Qualified Accountant with relevant post qualification experience
- A results focused innovator with excellent analytical ability
- Ambitious & positive in attitude and work.
£45k -£50K Salary and benefits package is on offer this role.
